Aluminum Fluoride (AlF3) is a white crystalline powder commonly used as a flux in the production of aluminum, as a component of refining agents in the production of high-purity aluminum, and as a flux in the production of aluminum-based alloys.

 

Application of Aluminum Fluoride:

Aluminum production: AlF3 is used as a flux in the production of aluminum to lower the melting point of the aluminum and remove impurities.
Refining agents: AlF3 is used as a component of refining agents in the production of high-purity aluminum.
Aluminum-based alloys: AlF3 is used as a flux in the production of aluminum-based alloys to improve their mechanical properties and reduce their melting point.
Glass and ceramic production: AlF3 is used as a flux in the production of glasses and ceramics to improve their properties and reduce their melting point.
Other applications: AlF3 is also used in the production of enamels, electronics, and as a catalytic agent.
