The water-cooled furnace cover is a critical component of the submerged arc furnace, protecting the furnace's upper structure from extreme smelting conditions (e.g., arc radiation, molten slag splatter, and high-temperature gas erosion) through a circulating water cooling system. It also ensures furnace sealing integrity, maintaining stable and safe smelting operations.
 

Structure of SAF Water-Cooled Furnace Roof

*Cooling water pipe network:Pipes made of high-temperature and corrosion-resistant materials (e.g., stainless steel, copper alloys), arranged in serpentine or grid patterns within the cover to absorb heat via circulating water.

*Protective panels:High-temperature-resistant materials (e.g., high-strength alloy steel plates, ceramic composites) covering the outer surface of cooling pipes to withstand arc radiation and slag impact.

*Sealing assembly:Flexible refractory materials or metal sealing rings to prevent leakage of high-temperature gases and dust.

*Support framework:Steel or composite structures ensuring overall mechanical strength and stability.
